Adaptation is Required

Are you the same as you were yesterday?

Scientifically speaking, you are not.

Every single day your body cells replace old cells with new - roughly 330 billion cells are replaced daily with majority of those renewed cells being blood and gut cells which is equivalent to about 1% of your cells.

In 80-100 days, 30 trillion cells have been replaced which is equivalent to a new you. (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/our-bodies-replace-billions-of-cells-every-day/)

Adaptation is happening naturally in your body without any extra work from you.

Imagine the possibilities of your life if you intentionally committed to adapt and evolve every day to become better?

Adapting to new scenarios is required to grow, but just like our cells, change can happen at a microscopic level.

Small changes or adjustments practiced over a long period of time can make a big difference.

It’s the small improvements in your life (like routines and habits) that compound to surge you in the direction of your goals over time.

An important component for adaptation is grit.

You are not born automatically having grit, but instead it is something that must be practiced.

Grit is the ability to work towards a long-term goal over an extended period of time.

Grit is a trait that requires toughness, perseverance, and passion to achieve your dreams.

Grit needs to be nurtured and practiced daily to endure hardships, changes in your environment, and to build resiliency.

If you can commit to practice grit and keep going even when it’s hard, then you are setting yourself up to truly adapt and evolve into a stronger and well-equipped person.

Thinking about your big dreams and goals, what adaptations could you make to get there?

Where can you align your daily tasks to your dreams to move closer towards them?

These are all questions you should be willing ask yourself (and honestly examine) if you desire more for your life.

Committing to grow requires dedication to follow through on small changes, practice grit, and adapt with the ever changing landscape of situations around you.

Adaptation is required and should be welcomed to those who are striving for more.

So I challenge you to ask yourself…

What are the daily, small changes I need to get me to my goal?

How can I commit to practice grit when the times get tough?

How can I show up for myself and be better than I was yesterday?

The truth is, many of us are fine with staying stagnant because this is easy.

It’s easy to sit back and stay the same.

It’s harder to put in the work to adapt and become better.

Be different than the masses and commit to your goals by practicing grit.

Adaptation is required for those who are chasing greatness.
